Compressed Air Aftercoolers Air compressor aftercoolers can provide compressed air cooling for air flows from 35 to 4,000 scfm to within 10°F approach of the ambient air temperature for air-to-air exchangers and 10°F approach of inlet air temperature for shell-and-tube heat exchangers. PPC's compressed air aftercoolers are rated to 400°F and 250 psig with a maximum pressure drop of 3 psi. Used with an oil/water separator and an automatic drain valve an compressed air aftercooler will remove up to 90 percent of the water in a compressed air system.
