Problem

Cooking oil vented off cookers and fryers exhausts to meat and poultry plants roofs where it collects. The oil pools on the roof and creates a safety hazard. Further over time the carryover cooking oil damages the roof. Large sections of several meat and poultry plants' roofs have been replaced because of damage caused by carryover cooking oil.

Solution

Condit Company's vent scrubber systems remove cooking oil from the fryer's exhaust. Our vent scrubber system was developed specifically for meat and poultry plants. With over 30 vent scrubber systems installed in meat and poultry plants in the USA some for more than seven years, Condit Company is confident it can provide a solution for your plants fryer oil carryover issue.	After Condit Scrubber is installed carryover cooking oil problem goes away. This photo was taken a year after installation.
The vent scrubber solution includes a stainless steel dry scrubber, blowers, and venturi. The 304SS dry scrubber has an internal clean in place (CIP) sprayball. The dry scrubber installs inside the plant and can accommodate CIP water hook up. The blower pulls the fryer's exhaust through the dry scrubber and out the stainless steel venturi. The blower and venturi install on the roof. The venturi are all wetted 304 stainless steel parts.	Photo shows a Condit Scrubber's venturi and blower.
The vent scrubber systems deliver their CFM capacity at a static pressure of -1” water column at the vent hood when pulling through the dry scrubber and 20 feet of vertical and or horizontal stack. If installed on a fryer, the rectangular fryer outlet transition must be replaced with a transition to round duct for reduced restriction to achieve the rated CFM flow.
