3M Filtration
Technician installing 3M high flow filter cartridges3M's product offering includes:
  • An innovative high flow filtration system (740 Series)
  • Low flow filter bags
  • Low flow filter elements
    740 Series
The 740 Series high flow filtration elements are available in micron ratings between 2 and 70. When compared to traditional filtration solutions like string wound filters the 740 series has several overall cost advantages. Advantages gained by the innovative design and construction of the 740 series include:
    740 series housing
  • Lower cartridge cost - The larger filter area and dirt holding capacity can reduce your yearly purchases of filter cartridges
  • Lower labor costs - Higher dirt holding capacity causes longer filter life and fewer filter change-outs.
  • Lower disposal costs - The vertical pleat in 3M's cartridges increases dirt holding capacity. Less cartridges to remove dirt from your system reduces your disposal volume.
Low Flow Filter Bags and Cartridges
Melt blown polypropylene bags often work better than cartridges in low flow non critical filtration applications. 3M's polypropylene bags are 90% efficient at their micron rating. The bags' microfiber construction results in dirt holding capacities 10 to 20 times the bags' weight. Additionally, the bags feature good removal efficiencies with excellent initial pressure drops.

3M's patented vertical pleat structure3M low flow cartridges are 99% efficient at their micron rating and are made of polypropylene. A patented radial pleat make 3M's cartridges different from competitive products and give them a much greater dirt holding capacity. For example the 700 series cartridges have 100 square feet of surface area to capture more dirt in less space.

    Pharmaceutical Grade Pre-Filters
Pre-filters protect more expensive final filters by trapping larger particles upstream lightening the load and letting the final filters remove the contaminants they were engineered to stop. Good pre-filtration can save you money by reducing how often you have to change-out more expensive final filters. Sartorius offers three pre-filters:
  • Sartoclean - membrane pre-filters with precisely controlled pore sizes. Recommended for polishing and clarifying processes.
  • Sartopure - pleated depth filters designed to capture particles throughout its pleats. The spun-bonded matrix creates a tortuous path generating more opportunity to capture particles. Recommended for applications with high flow rates and high total throughputs.
  • Sartofine - layered depth filters offering coarse filtration on the outside and finer filtration on deeper layers. Between four and nine filtration layers can be used depending on the application. These filters have high dirt holding capacities and can be backflushed.

    sterile filter element
    Pharmaceutical Grade Final Filters
Sartorius markets membrane filters for use in bulk pharmaceutical, small volume parenterals, and other pharmaceutical processes. In addition, to the liquid service filtration products a sterile vent filter is available. Sartorius's pharmaceutical grade final filters include:
  • Sartopore - Polyethersulfone membrane 0.2 micron membrane filters. Applications include filtering: buffers, nutrients, sanitizing and cleaning agents, fermentor feeds, intermediates and bulk pharmaceutical chemicals.
  • Sartolon - Nylon membrane filters offer high chemical compatibility. Heterogeneous double membrane construction provides better throughput than competitive products.
  • Sartofluor GA - PTFE membrane filters available in 0.45 and 0.2 micron for use in tank venting and other sterile vent applications.

    Filter Housings
filter housings Filter housings serve as the envelope enclosing filters inside a process stream. Depending on your application a sanitary or industrial style filter housing is appropriate. Condit can assist with sizing a housing and filtration solution for your application's fluid, flow and pressure. For assistance email or call us at 1-713-785-0497.

    Lakos Filtration
Lakos separators employ centrifugal action to remove solids from liquids. The process liquid flow is directed through slots creating a circular flow within the separator. Solids are forced to the outside of the flow by centrifugal force and fall to the bottom of the separator. Solids collect in the separators sump. Regular removal is required via the separator's purge valve. Solids removal can be easily automated.

Lakos Separators have a dependable proven track record in the automotive, food processing, oil and gas, chemical and other industries.Lakos separators Advantages of Lakos separators compared to other filtration methods include:
  • No moving parts to wear out
