Tuthill GlobalGear Series
Applications
·Bulk transfer
·Chocolate processing
·Asphalt
·High temperature fluids
·Chemical processing
Tuthill's GlobalGear Series of high viscosity pumps design incorporates improvements requested by customers. Globalgear pumps provide solutions to five customer needs:
A Tough, Reliable Pump
- Tough gears - Ductile iron rotor and idler gears are used because they are proven to handle the stresses of high viscosity applications
- Strong shaft design - Oversized shafts diameters ensure a reliable shaft. Most models feature high-strength alloy 4140 shafts
- Robust bearing - Oversized ball bearings ensure years of trouble-free operation
A Modular Design
- Several port styles are available to meet your piping needs
- Angle-port or Side-port positions available
- NPT tapped
- BSPT tapped
- ANSI 250#/300# flanged
- ISO PN16 flanged
- ISO PN40 flanged
- Pumps have multiple port sizes to minimize piping losses (for example Models GG200 - 210 are available in 2'', 2½'', 3'' and 4'')
- Modular seal chamber allows the use of a packing, mechanical seal, or cartridge seal without changing major pump components
Reduce Inventory
- Standard shaft sizes - available in nominal (inch) and metric shaft sizes. You probably can specify a shaft that accepts the same replacements seals as other rotating equipment on your manufacturing floor, helping reduce stock
- Spare drive modules - The back pull-out design allows you to stock a spare drive module instead of a complete pump
Ease of Maintenance
- Back pull-out design - Reduces repair downtime because the pump can be repaired without disturbing the piping or shaft alignment
- Inline seal access - reduces seal maintenance downtime because the seal can be removed without disturbing the piping or shaft alignment
Minimal Switching Costs
- No piping changes - GlobalGear mounting dimensions match those of most other gear pumps
- No drive changes - At any given speed, the GlobalGear's flow rates match those of most other gear pumps
