Tuthill 4000 Series Process Pumps
4000 Series process pumps incorporate an internal gear design. The design has only two moving parts. Moving parts are hardest hit by abrasive and heat wear, so having fewer moving parts increases the reliability of the 4000 Series. Features of 4000 Series pumps include:
Economically priced
Positive displacement internal gear construction
Accurate repeatable flow characteristics
Reliable performance
Special materials of construction permit handling many different fluid types
Less downtime and maintenance
The Series 4000's pumping action comes from a rotor, idler gear, and crescent-shaped partition. A partial vacuum is formed when the pump starts and the rotor teeth begin to turn. The fluid fills the space between the idler gear's teeth and the rotor's teeth. The fluid passes around the crescent. On the pressure side, the force of the teeth meshing discharges the liquid. 4000 Series pumps can pump nearly any fluid including:
Adhesives
Alcohol
Asphalt
Barium sulfate slurry
Benzene
Creosote
Crude oil
Diatomaceous earth
Enamel
Ethylene glycol
Fats

Tuthill HD Series Process Pumps HD Process Pumps come in two grades: Industrial for the most demanding applications - slurries, high viscosity fluids, suspended solids, chemicals, high temperature fluids, polymers, pharmaceuticals, foods and shear sensitive fluids.
Standard for sanitary applications in food processing, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants.
 HD Pumps Handle...
High Viscosity - can pump materials up to 3000000 cps including adhesives, pastes, and semi-solids.
High Pressure - Pumps can be fabricated to operate at differential pressures to 450 psi.
High Temperature - Fluid temperatures to 525°F
High Vacuum - Self priming and able to work under high vacuum and pressurized inlet conditions
HD Pumps can be run dry without damage. The slow speed operation results in longer pump life and lower shear. HD Pumps are provided in ductile iron or 316 stainless steel. A wide range of drives and mountings are available.
Tuthill Series 6000 Tuthill's Series 6000 pumps are designed specifically for pumping applications where leakage cannot be tolerated, such as: hazardous, toxic, EPA, and restricted fluid. The magnetically coupled drive ensures leak-proof operation. The magnetic couple uses inner and outer rare earth magnets. Both magnets are encased by stainless steel for protection from the process fluids. The pumps housings are cast iron. The magnetic drive runs the positive displacement gear pump. These pumps do not have any dynamic seals and therefore eliminate the possibility of shaft seal leakage. 6000 Series pump features include:
Unique flow path that improves venting cooling internal components
Hardened steel idler gear
Neodymium iron boron magnets
Full encapsulation
Cast iron construction
Maintenance free dual sealed bearings
Tuthill GlobalGear Series
Applications
·Bulk transfer
·Chocolate processing
·Asphalt
·High temperature fluids
·Chemical processing
Tuthill's GlobalGear Series of high viscosity pumps design incorporates improvements requested by customers. Globalgear pumps provide solutions to five customer needs:
A tough, reliable pump
A modular design
Reduce Inventory
Ease of maintenance
Minimal switching costs
A Tough, Reliable Pump
Tough gears - Ductile iron rotor and idler gears are used because they are proven to handle the stresses of high viscosity applications
Strong shaft design - Oversized shafts diameters ensure a reliable shaft. Most models feature high-strength alloy 4140 shafts
Robust bearing - Oversized ball bearings ensure years of trouble-free operation
A Modular Design
Several port styles are available to meet your piping needs
·Angle-port or Side-port positions available
·NPT tapped
·BSPT tapped
·ANSI 250#/300# flanged
·ISO PN16 flanged
·ISO PN40 flanged
Pumps have multiple port sizes to minimize piping losses (for example Models GG200 - 210 are available in 2'', 2½'', 3'' and 4'')
Modular seal chamber allows the use of a packing, mechanical seal, or cartridge seal without changing major pump components
Reduce Inventory
Standard shaft sizes - available in nominal (inch) and metric shaft sizes. You probably can specify a shaft that accepts the same replacements seals as other rotating equipment on your manufacturing floor, helping reduce stock
Spare drive modules - The back pull-out design allows you to stock a spare drive module instead of a complete pump
Ease of Maintenance
Back pull-out design - Reduces repair downtime because the pump can be repaired without disturbing the piping or shaft alignment
Inline seal access - reduces seal maintenance downtime because the seal can be removed without disturbing the piping or shaft alignment
Minimal Switching Costs
No piping changes - GlobalGear mounting dimensions match those of most other gear pumps
No drive changes - At any given speed, the GlobalGear's flow rates match those of most other gear pumps

SIHI ZTN Centrifugal Pumps SIHI ZTN pumps are specifically designed to pump heat transfer oils. ZTN's design is optimized to provide a low operating temperature at the pump's shaft seal and ball bearings while ensuring minimal product heat loss. Unlike competitive pumps SIHI's ZTN pumps do not require cooling water. ZTN pumps are used in the chemical, food and paper industry to transport hot oil. For example, in the paper industry ZTN pumps pump oil to paper machine calender rolls. Advantages of the SIHI ZTN centrifugal pump design include:
Self-cooling - uncooled shaft sealing
Shaft sealing virtually free from leakage
Minimal product heat loss
Reliable low vibration bearings

SIHI Side Channel Pumps SIHI Side Channel pumps are optimized to pump liquids with entrained gas or air. The lateral channel stages of the pump's turbine eliminate vapor locking.
Compared to centrifugal pumps, SIHI's Side Channel pumps have higher heads and efficiency in the low capacity range. Additionally, Side Channel pumps are self-priming and can handle large amounts of entrained gas unlike centrifugal pumps. To meet the requirements of different process applications in the food, chemical and other industries, SIHI manufactures four Side Channel pump versions:
Standard bronze fitted
Cast iron
Bronze wetted
316 stainless steel wetted
